Gratitude
When I had all three girls in their teens, our home was constant drama. Whether it was caused by a breakup, bullying, PMS, homework, the stress of an upcoming sporting event or life just not what they thought it should be, I always finished with “the sun will come up tomorrow”. The statement would anger them even more, especially because it was true.
We still have days that seem like they will never end well, but we fight on and carry that cross one more day, week, month or year, in hopes that tomorrow will be better.
I can’t imagine what my life would be like if I didn’t live by this motto. It is very difficult to find gratitude when we feel stuck in the pain of today. I try to remember that so many have difficulties way worse than my own.
Life is good, but only if we accept it for what it is!
