Laughter
I am very fortunate to be married to a man that has the ability to find joy and laughter in nearly every situation. When I find myself in a negative place he can make me laugh myself into a more positive mood.
For instance:
A few years ago he started to wear one hard contact to adjust the shape of his pupil. After much practice, inserting and removing the contact became fairly easy.
One afternoon as he was removing it with the suction tool it came out and dropped without him realizing it. He assumed it was still in his eye, so he continued to use the suction tool at least a dozen times, never finding it. The sound of the tool popping on his eyeball had me cracking up. He then assumed that the contact had moved behind his eye, so he rushed to the eye doctor to check and was told that it was not there.
Thinking that it had landed somewhere in the bathroom we searched high and low with no luck. It occurred to me that I remembered him wiping the counter with a tissue and threw it in the trash. It had been emptied into the larger bag and was thrown into the garage trash can. How would we ever find a tiny clear contact in a trash bag. Well, what do you know, after rummaging through the trash, he found that contact.
To this day when he tells the story, or I even think about it, I laugh until I cry!
I hope that everyone has someone in their life that can bring joy every day.
