I have always loved the Christmas season.

The decorations, the lights, the shopping for a special gift, the nativity, wrapping presents, baking, everything about it. Before my MS diagnosis I was a crazy mom doing all of it to the point of obsession. It had to be perfect!

Now that I am confined to a wheelchair I have had to let go of the ability to accomplish Christmas on my own. I do all of the shopping on line, decorating is done by my good friends and husband, wrapping presents and baking is accomplished with the help of my daughter.

I realize now that sharing the season with others by allowing them to help has removed stress from my life and brought me more joy than I would have ever imagined possible.

Who knew?
