Shhhh!!!
I have thought long and hard about how to approach the subject for today’s post.
It is stooped in shame, embarrassment, and anger.
Although no one delights in talking about it, it is always there to rear its ugly head.
I am referring to incontinence or loss of bladder control. It is not just a chronic illness problem, but affects men and women of all ages. Women who have had pregnancies, abdominal surgery, and mostly seniors can all suffer. It is obviously a big money maker as any grocery store and pharmacy has aisles dedicated to the problem.
I was at the urologist again, today for yet another urinalysis. The waiting room was full and I was the youngest patient in the room at 63 years old. How did I get to this point?
If you have been diagnosed with MS you know that incontinence is most likely something you may have to deal with in the future. It is not fun, but can be controlled. Recent drugs have been proven to be effective in bladder control with few side effects. And of course, there is always that dreaded aisle that we avoid in the grocery store. Thank goodness for online and home delivery.
For the most part, find yourself a good urologist that is compassionate and knowledgeable to guide you through the ups and downs of the unspeakable over active or under active bladder issues.
There, that wasn’t so bad, was it?
