Right or Wrong
I still don’t understand why MS is different everyday.
You would think that once a symptom is gone that the body would heal and that that symptom is gone for good.
MS is very sneaky. It fools me into thinking that a bad day will last forever and a good day means improvement. Both ideas can be terribly wrong.
For the last 3-4 months I have experienced random days of excruciating spasticity. Assuming that my Baclofen pump was not working, I contacted the nurse that services it. She suggested getting a urinalysis to check for a UTI before we do any changes. Well, what do you know, I was positive for a UTI.
So, for the last several months, the spasticity symptoms have sent me in to retest. Each time testing positive. I have been on 5 antibiotics trying to eliminate the bacteria that I am carrying around, finally testing negative a week ago. Then two days ago the spasticity returned, but only for a day. Yesterday I was nearly pain free. So is it a coincidence that I experience spasticity with a UTI or do I head back to the Urologist for another test?
Is it any wonder that this chronic disease is so frustrating for so many of us?
