I Did It!
The first time we took our three daughters to Disney World, I attended every show, rode every ride from easy and wet to horrifying and fun, I walked the 10 miles a day and was up and ready for the next park each morning.
Needless to say, our vacation last week (that included 16 of us) to Disney, Seaworld, Universal Studios and Cocoa Beach was quite a bit different. I knew the heat and humidity of Florida would affect me so I took advantage of shows with air conditioning and shade whenever possible. I didn’t spend 12 hours a day at the parks like the rest of the family and tried to eat as normal as I could. Even though we were very comfortable in the Airbnb that we stayed in and I slept good each night, I woke up tired but excited for the next adventure.
So… it wasn’t close to the same experience I had before but I had the advantage of watching my kids and grandkids this time as they shared the events of the day.
My youngest daughter telling us how she enjoyed water gunning riders on the Infinity Falls from up above after having the same thing done to her. The smile on my 9 year old grandson’s face after entering the ocean for the first time. Watching the Broncos play with all of us in the same room. The laughter and joy in each other at the end of the day and smiling so much that my face hurt! The memories of this trip will last forever.
