Existing in this crazy, busy, demanding world is what each individual person decides to make it. Jobs, responsibilities, children, illnesses and finances dictate what each day will bring. How we deal with all these things can make our days exhilarating or miserable.

Because I am non ambulatory my choices each day are limited and will be for the remainder of my life. I went through the stages of grieving every time I lost the ability to achieve another activity. Looking back, I have realized that the things I was grieving are really not as important as I had originally imagined. My life is full of friendships and family members whom I appreciate so much more than those few unimportant things that I gave up, (although not without a fight).

Acceptance is the key to all my problems today and has made me a much happier wife, mother, grandmother and friend to those around me.
