What Now?
Yesterday was my Baclofen pump refill. I have a wonderful nurse that visits me twice a year to empty what ever medicine is remaining, and fill it with a new amount and recalibrate if I need more or less throughout my day or night dosage.
The needle is long but she is very good at what she does and I rarely feel it.
Today was my three month pudendal bilateral nerve block. UCH is a teaching hospital which means that there is always an intern that is practicing on one side with guidance from the doctor. I have to say, some of them are confident and some, not so much. The process takes about 20 minutes or so. I usually experience complete numbness on my left hip and leg for the next 24 hours. A good trade off considering that I rarely have any pain for the three months that follow.
I don’t have much to complain about today, but yes with chronic illness it is always something.
