Pain
After a recent CT scan it was apparent that I have some damage in my lower spine. Either from osteopenia or just age, causing immense pain when transferring. This has been going on for months off and on, although has increased in the last few weeks.
Getting an appointment with a specialist is next to impossible, as scheduling is booked until October.
Is it any wonder why so many people are suffering and urgent care facilities and emergency rooms are overwhelmed with patients? When you finally do see a PA or Doctor they throw another prescription at you which may or may not work and only relieves a symptom and sometimes causes more issues from side effects!
So what do we do?
We carry on as if nothing is truly wrong while we are screaming inside. Every day is a battle between myself and pain. Will it be a bit better today or will I be bed-ridden? Pain can rob me of the few pleasures that I am still able to accomplish and cancels plans for the future.
So, yes, if you are suffering from pain of any kind, whether chronic or temporary, be proud of making it through another day and have faith that it will not last forever.

I am so sorry to hear that you are dealing with so much pain and it has been going on for so long. There is nothing harder to endure than chronic pain and then also having to deal with the lack of medical attention when you need it. I will be thinking of you and praying that you get the help you need to relieve your pain. Love, Deb
