No Sweat
When raising three girls, the daily struggle was what they would wear each day. My oldest had a stubborn streak that showed up every morning. She knew what she wanted to wear until I gave in. We compromised with alternating days of her choice and mine with no complaints. There were days when I literally had to cover my mouth.
The middle child was a tiny peanut until high school and lived in leggings because jeans were huge on her.
My youngest sported a mushroom haircut that she still calls me out on. Middle school became black on black on black when the emo look was popular.
To this day matching socks is non existent in them and my grandchildren might show up in two different shoes or have them on the wrong feet!
So how does a perfectionist mother and grandmother handle these challenges?
For the most part, losing the ability to physically change a situation due to MS, has provided me with more patience and acceptance than I ever thought was possible.
In other words, don’t sweat the small stuff!
