It might be hard to find humor in the absurdity of my life with MS but it can show up in surprising ways.

I had my second spine procedure on Wednesday. I knew what to expect so the previous anxiety was not with me. Aside from having to wait two hours behind schedule, the rest of the day went pretty smooth.

As it was an out patient procedure, after an hour of recovery and removal of the IV and other attachments I was ready to head home. We had put all clothes and valuables in the bag provided to be placed in a locker. I got dressed and ready to leave when I realized that my glasses were missing. We looked everywhere and the nurses literally turned the room upside down but there were no glasses to be found. They hadn’t fell out of the bag and were not in the locker or in the hallway. It was decided that they would call me if found and we would call them if we found them.

After returning home my husband took off my shoes so I could put on slippers and guess what was in my shoe? The missing glasses! How in the heck had I put on and wore the shoe home without feeling or realizing that a pair of glasses were in my shoe? Hilarious!
