As a young girl, I began getting headaches  about once  every month into adulthood. Once puberty hit they intensified and eventually lasted 2-3 days, putting me to bed.

Anything could set one off from over heating, motion sickness, getting hit on the side of my head, stress or a menstrual cycle.

If you are in your sixties or older you will remember taking Johnson’s Baby Aspirin for a fever or any other ailment. I was not able to swallow them, so my mom would smash them between two spoons and add a little water in order for me to get them down. I don’t believe they actually did anything and sometimes they came right back up.

I have accepted the fact that I will have headaches off and on for the rest of my life.

Medications have improved greatly since the days of baby aspirin and once I was diagnosed as having migraines the medication became more specific. I am now able to keep them under control to a minimum of one day or less.

After much research I was able to attribute these once a month headaches to Multiple Sclerosis, perhaps even back to childhood. Of course it has never been scientifically confirmed but neither has a multitude of other factors that can be possibly linked to the disease.
