Trudge On
It was a crazy week for us over thanksgiving. We left Colorado on the Friday before to drive to my brother’s ranch in Texas. A ten hour drive is too much for me to do in one day, so we broke it up into two. Even five or six can be rough for me but I pushed through.
All that driving was worth it, as we had a wonderful time with family, the weather was perfect and the food was excellent. Traveling home was a bit tougher after being in a not so wonderful hotel for four days. We once again broke up the trip into two days which put us home on thanksgiving day.
Watched a little bit of football and then headed to some friend’s house for thanksgiving dinner. By 7:00 that evening, MS said “that is enough” and I was fading fast.
Sure I could have decided to stay home for a quiet holiday but there are so many things I have put on hold or just refuse to do because of MS, and sometimes it is worth it to trudge through regardless of a symptom or two.
Happy Belated Thanksgiving!
